Artist Lineup - The Heavy Pets
The Heavy Pets are a traveling American Rock 'n' Jam band that are best known for their explosive live performances and a deep catalog of over 70 original compositions. Based in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, The Heavy Pets have spent the last four years touring nationally and recording their double disc debut album "Whale" which was released in May of 2007.
Backed by this 21 track monster release the Pets have found a happy home on stages across the country including a growing number of large festival appearances including Bonnaroo, Jazz Fest, Wakarusa, Langerado, Summer Camp, moe.down, High Sierra and of course PetZoo!.
The Pets have recently opened for Umphrey's McGee, Perpetual Groove, Matisyahu, Tea Leaf Green and Toubab Krewe. They have also played with numerous other artists including Jeff Coffin, Felix Pastorius, Mark White, Brock Butler and Laura Reed. The album also features two tracks, "Operation of Flight" and "Sleep" that have been getting heavy play on Sirius Satellite Radio.
