AlyCat exploded onto the scene in 2007 after going solo from jam band "BrotherSister". Her "spunk funk" is essentially a tasty blend of
funk, jazz, soul, and rock humor. AlyCat consistently demands the crowd's attention and holds it until the very end with her boisterous,
unruly persona, and vocals to match.
"We still jam out like the BrotherSister days, but it's a little more structured this time", she notes. AlyCat‘s versatility can be heard from song to song. "She can sing anything. She goes from quiet and jazzy to wailing out in seconds flat!", said an excited fan after a recent show. AlyCat frequently tours the east coast, shared the stage and recorded with national acts such as Rusted Root, G. Love and Special Sauce, Kenny Rogers, jazz legend Donald Byrd, and more. Look for her solo debut album to be released Fall 2008.
